Scandinavia & Russia Cruise Highlights:

Copenhagen, Denmark - Scandinavia's largest city is a treasure trove of art, history, architecture and modern design. Copenhagen artfully mixes fairy-tale settings like palaces, castles and elegant gardens with cutting-edge style and contemporary chic. Take a stroll down Langelinie Promenade to see the heart of Copenhagen. It runs along the water from the port, skirting the 300-year-old, moated citadel near the celebrated statue of Hans Christian Andersen's Little Mermaid. The surrounding park is home to the Gefion Fountain, Copenhagen's most spectacular fountain.

Stockholm, Sweden - Water and green space are never far away in the stylish Swedish capital, built on 14 islands with acres of parks. But don’t miss the medieval Old Town, whose narrowing streets are lined with unique shops, art galleries and cafes. The Gamla Stan is the oldest part of Stockholm and a popular attraction. Its narrow cobblestone streets are lined with beautiful buildings dating from the 16th through the 19th centuries. Today they house boutiques, restaurants, cafes and clubs.

St. Petersburg, Russia - St. Petersburg is rich in cultural heritage, and a masterpiece of architecture that embodies the soul of Imperial Russia. In 1703, Peter the Great built a fortress on the banks of the Neva River, and by 1712 a new city had emerged. Elegant façades, glorious cathedrals and grand residences were built along the city's canals. Construction flourished under Catherine the Great, and the city gained new splendor with elaborate palaces, lovely parks and magnificent squares designed by French and Italian architects. St. Petersburg is the most European-influenced city in Russia, and certainly the most spectacular.

Tallinn, Estonia - Tallinn charms with lively cafes, cool galleries and medieval heritage. Stone walls circle its preserved Old Town, where the Estonian parliament meets in a 13th-century castle whose hilltop location offers the best views. Discover the influence of the old Hanseatic League in the well-preserved medieval quarter of Tallinn, with its narrow cobblestone alleyways. You'll find old walls, winding cobbled lanes and buildings that date back to the Middle Ages.

Helsinki, Finland - Discover the national pride of the Finnish people along with the Swedish and Russian legacy in this beautiful capital. Helsinki is filled with graceful architecture and monuments and surrounded on three sides by sea and tiny islands. The heart of Helsinki is the bustling kauppatori or market square. Also known as the fish market, it is surrounded by graceful 19th-century buildings - of which many were destroyed during the devastation of WWII all around Helsinki. Visit Havis Amanda, the lovely mermaid statue and fountain just west of the fish market. The statue was designed in 1906 by one of Finland's most beloved artists, Ville Vallgren. Also known as Manta, it is commonly regarded as the symbol of Helsinki - if not all of Finland.

Riga, Latvia - With an architectural heritage that ranges from medieval to Art Nouveau and ultra modern, Riga is a lively fusion of old and new. Near the capital is a seaside resort where tsars once swam and a medieval town home to a trio of castles. Whether it's medieval architecture and cobble stone streets you're after or extravagant Art Nouveau buildings and manicured 19th century parks, Riga has plenty of visual stimulation for all tastes. Explore what's left of the city's Soviet legacy or take a tour of Riga Cathedral (Rigas Domas) the largest house of worship in the Baltics.
