Mediterranean Cruise onboard Norwegian Jade
Day 1 - Arrive in Venice
Arrive in Venice, transfer via shared water taxi to your hotel and spend the balance of the day at your leisure. Later in the day, enjoy an orientation meeting and then do as the Venetian do! Visit cicchetteria, for a classic Venetian aperitif and sample local specialties (cicchetti) while sipping a typical "ombra" of wine. Remainder of the evening at leisure. Overnight in Venice.
Day 2 - Venice City Tour
Begin the day with a guided walking tour of romantic Venice. View the Golden Basilica of San Marco, the Bridge of Sighs and visit the Doge's Palace, whose facade features a massive late-Gothic gate, known as the Porta della Carta. Complete the tour with an unforgettable 30-minute gondola ride with music along the famous Grand Canal, and glide along the centuries-old canals, the lavish palaces and under famous arched bridges. (Gondola ride is weather permitting. Maximum four guests per gondola. This is not a private gondola ride.) Take the remainder of the day to explore Venice on your own. Overnight in Venice.
Day 3 - Murano, Burano & Torcello Islands
Today begins with a boat ride to the island of Murano. Built on a series of small islands connected by bridges in the Venetian Lagoon, Murano is known throughout the world for its glass manufacturing industry. Enjoy a visit inside one of the island's glass-blowing factories to witness firsthand the methods of this fascinating art. Continue to Burano, the most scenic island of the Lagoon, famous for its colorful houses and central church with leaning campanile. Visit Baldassarre Galuppi Street, the island's main avenue, filled with tiny shops that sell famous handmade lace. Continue to the island of Torcello to visit the church of Santa Fosca. Here you will see the church's unique portico in the form of a Greek cross and the Byzantine Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. Return to the main island of Venice, enjoy a gelato and continue to your hotel. Spend the afternoon at your leisure exploring Venice on your own. Overnight in Venice.
Day 4 - Venice & Embark Cruise
Enjoy the morning at your leisure in Venice before transferring to the port. Set sail on your Mediterranean cruise with Norwegian Jade this evening.
Day 5 - Dubrovnik, Croatia 2:00pm to 9:00pm
Day 6 - Cruising
Day 7 - Athens (Piraeus), Greece 7:00am to 5:00pm
